Grand Lake United exists for the development of quality young people and competent soccer players, with an emphasis on instruction, skills-and-age-based coaching, and fun !!!All players, regardless of skill, experience, or school district will be considered. We develop every player, not just a select few.Players are given fair attention and playing time.We strive to achieve individual and team objectives while concentrating on the whole person.
WHY GRAND LAKE UNITED?
·GLU is the longest continuously running youth travel soccer club in Shelby County. And with our integration with local high school programs, players get exposre to their eventual high school coaches and their philosophies at a young age
·Affordable youth club soccer - young talent should not be "priced out" - youth soccer need not be "expensive"
·A great deal of autonomy for coaches and players to make their own choices – we believe in the Ohio South Youth Soccer Association’s “right to choose” philosophy
·Licensed and experienced coaches and trainers, who are focused on player development - we do not "load" teams in an attempt to collect trophies or make coaches look good - we want all players, regardless of school, experience, or talent to come to tryouts
·Non-profit structure, enabling the club to focus on players as people, not just a profit center or “number” - youth sports should not be about money
·We focus on fair attention to ALL players and teams, as well as the development of ALL players and teams, not just a select few players and favored teams
